Skyroot reaches orbit with India’s first privately developed orbital rocket
Skyroot’s Vikram-1 reached a 450-kilometre orbit on its maiden flight, becoming India’s first privately developed rocket to place payloads in orbit. The test advances India’s commercial-space ambitions but does not yet prove a routine launch business.
