EU court in Luxembourg upholds Apple's 'gatekeeper' status
The General Court of the European Union in Luxembourg dismissed Apple's challenge to its 'gatekeeper' designation under the Digital Markets Act on 8 July 2026, confirming that the App Store and iOS remain bound by the bloc's rules for Big Tech. Complaints over iMessage were ruled inadmissible. Apple may appeal to the Court of Justice.
